Ljudi iz Srbije obično imaju jedno ime i jedno prezime. Retko imaju dva imena. Neke žene imaju dva prezimena: prvo je prezime oca, a drugo je prezime muža.

Zavod za statistiku daje podatke iz popisa 2011. (dve hiljade jedanaeste) godine. Tamo čitamo koja su imena i prezimena najčeŔća u Srbiji.

NajčeŔća ženska imena su: Ana, Gordana, Dragana, Ivana, Jelena, Ljiljana, Marija, Milica, Mirjana i Snežana.

NajčeŔća muÅ”ka imena su: Aleksandar, Goran, Dragan, DuÅ”an, Dejan, Marko, Milan, MiloÅ”, Nikola i Zoran.

Prezime je porodično ime. Svaka porodica ima jedno prezime. Prezimena potiču od imena predaka.
